Question :uh: :

It seems like that side EGR flange on the intake connector leads to a small pipe (with a hole) used for dumping exhaust gasses back into the intake charge. Is this correct?

If it's safe to remove it, has anyone tried? It seems to me that removing it would increase the intake flow and this should be better right?

It seems like it blocks a respectable portion of the intake flow. Can I remove it, will it help, and who has done this before? Your help is greatly appreciated!

If that's the EGR I see no problem in removing it. It should definitely help flow.

To remove it personally I would cut off both sides, fill the holes with JB weld stick slightly smaller bolts in the holes then grind down flush.

Unless you know someone that can TIG weld.

I still don't understand what you use to fill that pipe hole when it's removed.

JB weld and a bolt should work fine.

Just make sure the surface is fullly prepped before the JB weld. You don't want it chunking off and going into your engine.
