holy crap, that is one of the cleanest engines bays I have ever seen...like even out of the TT models as well. That engine bay with that spark plug cover and intake manifold flow so well and if i had a TT supra I would be jealos...

Agreed!!
What brand of spark plug cover is that anyway? Where can I get it?

Well guys thanks for the compliments, the spark plug and cam gears cover are my little creations, all my attention now is put towards getting my engine back together and running before the snow flies. During the winter though I could whip up a few of em if you guys are interested? Let me know. :)
This thread was about the Dave H intake manifold I got :)
looks like the spark plug cover stole the thread!

I'm requesting one for my 1JZ. :yumyum:

yea, that is just the cleanest set up I've seen on an N/A.
The Dave H mani, with the spark plug/cam gear cover, is just off the chain.
If you can, please set me up man.
Thanks

Update
Just thought I'd give alittle update here. All has been going well with the new intake so far. One thing you guys will need to do with this intake is drill/tap and screw in some vac nipples, on the back. Doesn't come with any :(
http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/4867/vacnipples5cx.jpg
Then depending on how you want the I/C piping to route you may need to cut a hole in the sheet metal behind the drivers side headlight. I used a 4 inch hole saw and a piece of rubber vac tubing as a grommet around the hole.

http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/3784/smallholecut9ow.jpg
I'm making pretty good progress, although it doesn't look like I'll beat the snow this fall. Suppose to snow tomorrow :madfawk:
http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/102/engine9sj.jpg
http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/9418/engine29ux.jpg
to do list...
- power steering reservoir relocated
- some vac tubing
- fuse box relocation under throttle body
- find a friggin throttle cable the right length. The Landcruiser throttle cable is like a mile long. Would not reccomend using it to anyone out there. There must be one alittle shorter?? anyone know?
- start the bitch!! :)

Dude that looks pucker!
I sent you a message the other day about relocating the power steering resivior?
Do you get any instructions with the mani?
What are the vac hoses for? For the standard vac set up?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Cheers Darren

Oh and another thing, what is that alloy box, with the big pipes coming out onto the engine?
Oil breather?
Where can I get one?
Cheers, Darren

Yes it's an oil catch can. I made it myself so it's one of kind ;)
you can find em on Ebay or whatever for cheap, but I wanted to make my own to fit that void up there where my charcoal canister was.
The vac tubes I was talking about were just all the normal ones needed, and to the MAP-ECU,boost gauge.
There's no instructions with the intake. You'll have to do your homework before getting one.
I didn't reply to your power steering relocation right away because I knew I'd be dinking with it tonight, here's what I came up with so far. It's an option besides purchasing the TT reservoir.
Use a 1/4npt nipple found at hardware store, 1/4 npt tap, 7/16th bit
http://img489.imageshack.us/img489/677/dsc066751rd.jpg
drill out the original hole
http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/2088/dsc066782sh.jpg
Tap dat ass
http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/1971/dsc066790pr.jpg
Screw in the nipple
http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/5829/dsc066804ei.jpg
Lop off the other threads
http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/7620/dsc066848qd.jpg
You will need to purchase the TT's PS nipple here ontop of the PS pump.
http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/5933/dsc066816be.jpg
Now you have all you need, just find somewhere to mount it and run your hoses.
I'll be putting mine here somewhere.

holy crap....I am DEFINITELY doing that modification...and using a stock Supra GTE cam gear cover!!
http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/images/articles/ttengine1.jpg
that should be a direct bolt onto a GE head then with those valve covers too?
hmmmm....

You have a front facing intake manifold right? You can't use TT valve covers with the GE intake manifold. You'll have to modify the valve cover if you have a distributor for the spark plug wires to run into it.

Thats a good plan to go off of. That engine's clean. I've been thinking of getting my valve covers polished or chromed. That looks awesome. The stock grayish color just isn't cutting it with me.

NinetyfiveNA, love the catch tank, what is the single pipe going to? Have you tapped it back into the sump or something?
Cheers, sorry to be a nuisance!

No bother at all man, The single hose will lead into the air intake right after the cone filter. I haven't got that done yet... although I did start the car saturday. She fired right up in like 2 cranks. I was (and am) very happy. I took it out for a quick test drive. there is a definite increase in throttle response, and boost builds sooner. I also can break the tires loose in second and third no problem. I've definitely picked up some good HP by doing this intake and
re-configuring my Intercooler piping. You should be very happy with yours as well
