What has everyone done for their exhaust? I can't seem to find a 3" anywhere. Are they out there for the IS?

There aren't any 3" off the shelf exhaust for the IS300, atleast that I know off. I actually just fabricated my own using a HKS Carbon Ti 3in" inlet canister. No resonator, no cat, just a straight thru setup.

They want a lot of money. I had a local guy do one for me. Have resonator, high flow cat, and Skunk2 muffler. Its quieter than my old GReddy EVO.

I have a place in town that does stainless steel mandrel bent exhaust. They do mostly custom corvette work. I dropped my IS off on sat to get full system from down pipe to muffler done. Getting Magnaflow resonator where cat goes, flex, and flanges done. With mangaflow off set oval muffler. I will post pictures when its done. Dont have a total price yet. It it turns out good I can have some made if anyone is interested. Just an idea. They can use my car as the mold.

I stopped by the exhaust shop today. He is almost done. Just waiting on the muffler to show up. So far he replaced my down pipe with a 3.5 inch Vband, then it steps down to 3 inch at the flex. At all mostly stainless steel. He put a magnaflow resonator muffler toward the end. And will finish with a Offset 3 inch magnaflow muffler with 4 inch tip. Here are the current pictures. http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j148/jamesmkiii/IS300/ I will pick the car up on sat and take more pictures. I told him a might have other people interested in exhaust. We can just do cat back or downpipe back systems. No idea on how much i owe yet. I expect at least 600 since I got turbo back.

3.5" vband? never realize vbands came in 1/2" sizing.
Looks like top notch work. One thing I might suggest tho. Redo the recirculation for the wastegate. From past experience, having a 90* bend into a large exhaust stream will produce backflow into the wastegate. In turn will creat boost creep. Just a thought.

Here are some photos of the finished exhaust. It sounds great. Super Quiet. No drone on freeway, and smooth tone. I love it. I have to get my wastegate return fixed, needs a flex in the piping. http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j148/jamesmkiii/IS300/

So with 3.5 inch v-band down pipe, 5 02 bungs, flex, two flanges, hangers, mufflers, and tip I spent 1200. More then I expected. But it is a nice exhaust. If I would have had a nice down pipe already that would have saved a ton of money. Oh and they made a custom wastegate return with flange.

I bought SRT's exhaust and honestly I haven't been disappointed at all! Spendy? Kinda, but worth every penny! Now if there was a company that many a Freakin' decent header now!
