hey guys, i know with the fi/c u can retard timing but can you advance it?
i wanna advance my timing on my 99 gs300 na-t alittle bit to squeeze some more power out but i dont know how to advance the timing on these cars since they dont have a distributor like my old car!

I don't think you can. I'm positive you can only advance or retard and I'm pretty sure its only retard.

I have no idea. I think that was one of the cons of the FIC vs the eManage. It just doesn't have as many of the features.

maybe in the future ill sell the fic and pick up a emanage ultimate.

I really doubt you will be able to advance the GE timing with any kind of boost. The timing map already seems quite aggressive.

I was under the impression that the fic was better than emanage?

FIC is designed for the OBD2, and you cannot advance the timing because OBD2 sees the advanced timing as engine knock and will pull timing.
OBD2 = UNHAPPINESS

damnit. well than i guess no timing advance for me till i can go standalone, and that wont be for years! :-(
