Lexus Is300 02 Auto Install

Well i got my hands on a xspower kit and will hopefully be able to show you the install with pics and videos. Im going to start the install this coming month. Since I bought a kit from someone else I have to buy some little accessories.. I have one question does this oil feed seem right? It is a -4an already fitted to the peice.. but im confused is if this hole is suppose to be this small?

Xs Power t-61 kit
LMS intercooler piping with small intercooler:( (will be upgrading)
Greddy Ultimate w/ pnp
Jegs oil line/fittings -4an inlet, -10an outlet.
HKS SSQV BOV
SRT Downpipe and Midpipe

thats an oil restrictor, if you can find out what size that hole is we can tell you if its ok or not. some people use oil restrictors some dont, they are not needed but not bad if there a decent size.

Yes, it suppose to be that small. Looks like a Function7 knockoff.

its not the best machined but it will do the job:) If that hole is good enough size.. thanks for the fast input. ill have pics up soon of my oil tapping and abs line bending.. which still needs more work!

So yes on the oil restrictor on the t61 xspower turbo?

yea the oil restrictor isnt a bad thing, i might check the hole size tho

Oil starvation will void your warranty. Better make sure that hole isn't too small.

Is that flange from level zero motorsports?

contacting the person i got this from for exact hole size. it seems to be like the same size as function7.

From memory Mark tends to recommend -3an for turbo feed or -4an if the line is longer than a meter or so.. Although you may want to clarify that with him.

I am using level zero flanges, and I know they also sell ones with a restrictor which kind of looks like the one you have. I opted for normal -4an supply and -10 for drain.

Do not run a restrictor. I am not warrantying any turbo that has been starved of oil by the use of a restrictor.

I guess ill take Marks word for it. So is a -4an line without a restrictor good for this turbo?

Well my boost project is complete :D With the help of a buddy we got it done in about two days of relaxed working. I wish I could of taken pictures of the steps we took, but it was taking too much time and I was just anxious to getting it done. The turbo so far is running great. My wideband isnt on so I cant push it hard but I can hear the turbo whine around 2800k and feel the pull around 3200+.

I will definately take pics and videos and have them up by tomorrow!

3" Downpipe. Blue silicone coupler is there because downpipe still gets hot. Whats a better alternative for insulation? Downpipe is close to abs lines and a hose. I can already tell the heat has been wearing down the hose and a abs line.

VIDEOS: Theres a engine start up video that i need to edit my license plate out, and also a bov fly by that i need to block out as well. But here are the other ones. Question, is the gargly sound i hear because of open dump tube. I notice when i softly hit the accel it gargles loud then a little more acceleration its completely quiet. open dump right?

i had a my.is member send/make me a base map to get me running. So its not tuned yet and i cant push it hard. Tunning is coming soon. I want to get my wideband first.

nope [= probably because im on stock injectors, fuel pump etc. I have not upgraded them yet, but plan to do so very soon. Only cel i got was p0340 but that was because of boomslang pnp harness. I called them up and we got it fixed.
