OK my supra is dead and i dont know why.

today i started the car and it was idling rough so i took it out and the car didnt move my lawmore could had smoke it in a race the as pedal was all the way to floor and nothing car didnt go no where and it started to shake. So i took her back home and turn the car off then ran to do some other thing i needed to do. When i came back i try starting the car it started and the idling was so bad and rough car felt like it was running on 4cyl then it would get better then it started again so i turn it off when to get some tool open the hood didnt see anything wrong so i go back inside n turn the car again and nothing the car didnt start. It seem like it was choking so i loosen the bold for the fuel near the inake mannifold and gas came out when i crank it. so i know i have gas going into the motor. so i started to chek the spark pkugs wire n dist cup seem fine open it and it look fine to me. So i kept trying to crank it with the gas pedal all the way down and nothing the car try to start but it wouldnt accel when i took my feet of the gas the car would turn off. Does any one know what might be the problem? What im thinking off it need the tune up sinces it has 178k so i went down to the toyota and bought new plugs, wires, dist cup, rotor. Do you guys think this might be the problem? I added some videos maybe you guys can help me out.

Check and double check all sensor connections, and ignition components. Make sure there is no water down in the "spark plug valley." Any dash lights? You can try and jumper the diagnostics box to see if she’s throwing any codes. I, personally, would also hold off on revving the piss out of an engine that sounds like that.

Good luck to you,
-Zach

Ok i replace the spark plugs, wires, dist cup and rotor. The main problem was that the channel where the spark plugs are located were under water. How did water get in there dont ask me because i dont know. after i replace everything car runs perfect.

Do supra eat alot of gas? because i drove it couple times and the gas was been burn like nothing my full tank is lil bit below haf tank now and i drove it lets say around 20 miles.

You burning alot of gas could be because of your sparks.

simalar thing happened to me, was on the free way crusin with a few frends and all the sudden my car dies...im talkin like 100ish and bam the car just turns off, all lights as if the key was in but the car wasnt turned on just yet were on, i pushed the gas and nothing, brakes worked fine, i coasted to the side of the road, sat there for a second tried it again and nothing didnt even turn over, sat a second got ready to get out of the car but traphic was nuts so i had to chill, right before i got out i tried it and it started right up no problum...any ideas guys, the car has 122K miles on it, and i dont know if its ever been tuned up...
That sounds like a loose connection somewhere (couldn't help you with where though, sorry!).

Vistec - glad you got it worked out!! Water can get in there pretty easily, especially if you've ever "washed" your engine bay. My Dad did that to his SC, and it was pumping so much gas into the cats that they caught fire... he ran to someone's house, grabbed a house, and put it out (luckily). Something to think about!

Probably because you were spraying gas out of the feed line ;) . Make sure that the banjo fitting sealed up completely when you tightened it back up (it should have a compression washer on both ends of the banjo).
