Recently installed a turbo. Placed maf on the intake. Has a misfire and poor drivability before boost. Runs fine when in boost.
Noticed most kits have maf on the charge pipe. Any idea if this is what's causing the issue

Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Is the ECU throwing a code?

no vacuum leaks. The only code being thrown is P0300 misfire detected.

Went and relocated the Maf to blow through VS. draw.
Very happy with the results.
It seems that the ECU doesnt like the draw through on the OBD2 GS300.
Drivability is back, no misfire codes, no CEL.

spoke too soon.
Went out tuning with the Neo, after a couple pulls it started happening again.
Changed out the plugs with a set of NGK iridium 9's,,, no difference.
this is really starting to piss me off.
AFR's at idle are 14.7.
Car doesnt want to get to 2500 rpms, when the turbo starts to boost everything feels fine. Car pulls hard.

Did you check engine light come back on? Can you return all your electronics to stock and see if it goes away?

reset the ecu. problem went away for a short time.
It appears that this is a learned issue with the ECU
I am going to be doing some long term data logging to see what exactly is changing to figure out what is taking place.
