get the 1997+ supra motor mounts for your sc300. There is no need for a bracket and you get all the benefits of the trd mounts. Search on www.clublexus.com there is a thread with pics  .

hey, before i buy these, i'm just double checking they are the right ones. i have a 1993 SC300 with a 1JZ-GTE swap. will these motor mounts work? they look different, but i wanna ask to be sure.

http://www.powerhouseracing.com/media/catalog/Toyota/Supra%20TT/thumbs/DCP_0319.JPG

"Constructed from Chromoly Steel, these engine mounts are coated in the familiar PHR red, and utilize Grade 8, 1/2" fasteners to corral the mighty 2JZGTE. A direct replacement for the stock engine mounts on the 1993-1996 Supra and a standard item on any PHR race engine. "

i didn't think the 2JZ-GTE mounts were the same, but those are the only ones i can find on that site. lemme know if those will work, and if not, a link to the right ones for my 1JZ swapped SC would be great. TIA.

Their dates only show 93-96, which was the years liquid filled was used. 97-98 used solid rubber mounts.

The TRD upgrades are a slight bit stiffer.

I am still deciding on the plain ole 97-98 mounts or the TRD mounts as well. But I would consider purchasing the PHR mounts, if they will work on a NA-T SC300.

ok, i saw in another thread that the 97-98 supra mounts will fit the SC perfectly without changing the bracket. however, PHR only lists from 93-96 :hsugh: so.... those won't work, lol.

geeze, finally found a spot to buy motor mounts, lol. i'm prolly a noob and its prolly right infront of my face but anyways, HPF sells the TRD motor mounts.

page link:

"This price is for one TRD motor mount. It will work on either side. These are made of MUCH harder rubber than your stock mounts and are highly recommended to anyone with high mileage and/or any Supra above BPU. The engine mounts are made for 1993-95 Supra twin turbos. However, if you have a 1996-98 supra TT you can still use these, but it requires purchase of the 1993-95 brackets. The production split for 1995 was in 4/95."

if i don't get the new brackets, are they just saying that cuz of the dowel pin? cuz i was just going to drill a hole to accomidate the pin. or are there other major differences that i would NEED the new bracket for?

also, can anyone give me a solid YES or NO, if i get these they will work on my 1JZ swapped 93 SC300? i've been researching since i last posted and am still confused, lol. maybe i suck at searching, but, throw me a bone, lol. :fingersx:

im not very familiar with 1js so i couldnt tell you although we just installed the phr mounts on my friends sc300 very little fabrication and very easy to do these are solid motor mounts so any one looking for a smooth ride should not get these they arent as bad as many hondas with solid mounts but deffinatly different. if your only concern is the turbo hitting th strut tower i would go with stock mount and make yourself an engine damper with any universal small shock and some fabricated brackets

Its not worth getting the TRD mounts. Just get the 97/98 mounts, they bolt up just fine.

well i haven't found a STB for the SC that'll clear a 1JZ motor yet, so my only concern so far is i have a motor and 2 broken motor mounts, hahaha. i just want to get the best one for the money. if the TRD ones aren't worth it, i'll just go with the 97+ supra ones. any difference between the N/A and TT mounts? also, why do you say they aren't worth it? thanks.

I have a set of TRD's in my SC300 and I've NEVER hit my GT42 on the strut tower, that's even launching with 20psi off a 2step on a 6spd. I'm completely happy with my TRD mounts.

yeah, i talked to curt the other day and he has some 97+ ones in stock, so i'm picking them up on tuesday. they only make the TRD ones for the 93-96 (the longer style) which means i would have to change the bracket also. so, for now i am doing the stock 97+ TT ones so i can use stock brackets. i'm sure those will be more than fine for a stock 1JZ setup.
