Alot of threads I read on SF seem to indicate that the e-manage will not work with our airflow meter.

Has anyone (OBDII would be preferred) successfully run the e-manage blue?

I'm leaning towards the MAP-ECU as I can eliminate the airflow meter and their site already has a base map for NA-T with 440s. Only downside is that it doesn't control timing.

I'm OBDII.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, it works with the AFM for OBDI. Early OBDIIs have the same AFM (pre-VVTI OBDII)

MAP ECU now is a good price and its pretty simple to install. The problem is, it doesnt have a temp probe that I can see and it doesnt control timing. Controlling timing will make or break you on a lightly modded NA-T

Is there a way to run a speed-density based AFM with the E-Manage?

Will the lexus v8 maf and my 440cc injectors work? I plan on having the maf on a pressurized pipe, but where's the ideal spot to put it?

Yes the V8 MAF will work fine... you will however, need to calculate the change in size of the original injectors... the V8 MAF looks for something around 412cc injectors in the NA-T application.

And no, you cant change to speed-density using the regular blue. You can either run a MAP ECU AND an emanage blue... or get the emanage ultimate. (the ultimate supports the swap to MAP-based air-metering and can change ignitions too)

thanks for the info been really helpful. Im putting emanage blue into my sc 300 na-t, i will post results once it gets tuned. Im using the map sensor in conjunction with the stock maf, which is in blow through setup after the BOV and before the TB. Thanks again!

well just got back from the dyno and the emanage really doesnt like our mafs, i would not use this on any car and recommend safcII. i had it installed tuned by a greddy dealer who uses them a lot on hondas mazdas and mitsu's, they said yotas and nissans dont like the eman and just to use safcII.

if you're going to pay for a SAFC, I would just sell your emanage and get a MAP-ECU...several OBD II 2jz-ge NA-T cars run fine with map-ecu.
