So I'll probably begin wiring up the EMU tomorrow and I had a question about the ignition timing.

From my understanding the wiring and the EMU software is calling for the ignition input to be just the tach signal the ECU puts out. How in the hell can that provide accurate ignition timing to the EMU? Doesn't it need crank/cam inputs in order to properly adjust timing for the COP?

No, the emanage takes the tach signal just for RPM monitoring.

There are separate wires in connector C for both crank angle (GREY/WHITE) and cam angle (GREY/BLACK) sensors.

If you have a GTE this is very straightforward.

In a dissy based ignition like a GE you can still hack it together using the NE and G signals from the distributor but it is a but unreliable at times.

so you are saying to connect the crank and cam signals instead of the rpm input?

Connect them all. Theres a separate pin in the harness for all of those so the more stuff you can connect up the better it is.
