The LS400 brakes & Supra TT brake work great on the sc300's and NA supras with supra tt wheels and other high disc fitment wheels. But, since those LS400 + TT brakes won't fit on these stock SC300 wheels, are there any other manufacturer brakes (mazda maybe?) that will be a good cost effective upgrade?

No. The 'upgrade' is getting BIGGER rotors and BIGGER calipers. You won't see any performance enhancement in braking from any mods. Brake pads hardly do anything and vented and/or cross-drilled stock-sized rotors won't do you any good.
I'd worry about the braking last. The open-diff rearend and your stock transmission are MUCH bigger problems.

I have a supra auto tt lsd that is getting installed soon. But what to do about this w58 transmission? Getrag and R154 are too pricey :ugh2:

I would disagree that pads don't do anything. Mayby not worth the effort or price in your opinion but there are big big big differences between pads and there performance. As for slotted and cross drilled rotors in general. They do work relative to an identical solid rotor. But again do you need them? For track use or auto crossing, yes IMO. Also stainless braided lines can work mericales for a braking system. IMO these upgrades or TT upgrades are not needed in most cases. But it won't be a waste of money if you went either way.

Thanks! This will just be more money saved for a realible transmission solution.
Okay,
SS brake lines and pads it is :whip: . What is the consensus on the best NA SC300 brake pads to use?
